And you had sighed when
Your lips turned purple
Your hair was sea green
And the sky was red

You said these clothes were glum
When you took off your mask
You looked down at the ground
Searching for worms to crush

You wouldn’t look at me
I knew your eyes would burn
I hated the blueness of your flesh
The hard evidence of your demise

You said you really missed me
My laughter and my smile
You said that you were tired
Then left to sleep forever

That ending hit like a brick. So harsh yet fitting. Great/sad story told. ~Amber
