As the flame flickers I will rise higher
Soaring through darkness to tops of spires
Breaths on my neck and the wind in my hair
I’ll turn around but I’ll see no one there
Whispering secrets that should not be known
Revealing lips with ebon thread are sewn
And I do not know who is guiding me
And I do not know who is following
Yet I do know some one is here with me
Morbid souls in pity are wallowing
And while I approach the Stygian shore
Fatal vitality haunts me no more
If I embrace Death’s cold unwanted hand
I’ll find myself in a hellish dreamland
