I can’t hear them
Too far away
Frozen silence
Empty quarters
Just another disappointment
What’d you expect?

As if time would desist for you
Bug on windshield
Dead dog in road

A frozen heart
Quavering breath
Colorless Lips
Frozen silence
Void of comfort
It’s deafening
It’s frightening
Frozen silence
Don’t look away
Or it might fade
Life before your spiritless eyes

Hold me closely
I may be numb
