To summer days
To laugh and play
The shining sun on giggling friends
The cobalt sky
The cotton clouds
Smiling down at happy children
Choc’late cookies
Lemonade stands
And spending time with those you love

The stormy sky
The shadowed earth
Frowns upon me in sorrow
The sun is gone
The glow of life
Has faded into dullness
My friends have left
My fam’ly cries
Elegy to happiness

The first stanza of this made me feel so good so quickly , while the 2nd dropped my without a blink of an eye. A nice paradox you have here. ....-samone
