Feel the eyes that watch you
Lurking within the dark
Hunger for sweeter flesh
And erubescent blood

They drool at the sight of you
Acidic drops burn holes in the ground
So watch your step now
Heed every move you make

Harkening to your breath
Its fearful panic grows
Mumble pleas up to the heavens
But nothing can save you now

Stumbling to the ground
Your clumsiness is your demise
A sickened smell as they close in
Brings you nearer to a faint

The blood drains from your face
Pale as a poltergeist
Your hands are clammy
You can almost make out their deformities

Feel the monsters on your neck
Soft footfalls in the distance
Another luckless victim
Pity them despite circumstance

They never get any closer
You can’t catch sight of their face
As they fumble along a wall
The person flickers on the light

What a horror
You’re in your room
And your toys have you surrounded
Hear a chuckle from the other

You glower at them
Stifling them with eyes of red
Approach them still closer
Devour their gullible soul
