Roaring Dragons
Tales of old
Shining Knights
And things untold
Witches and wizards
The light and the dark
Magic, mortality
A lonely singing lark
The wind in the night
The stars in the sky
They sparkle like diamonds
As they watch you pass by
You are traveling far
To a dangerous land
And nobody knows
What stakes are at hand
They’re flogging your body
You scream out in pain
Listen to the echo
While you lie there in shame
To have guilt is human
Perfection angelic
Learn from your mistakes
Treat life like a relic
Enjoy yourself
And the warmth of summer days
But shed a tear of sorrow
When friends part ways
We all need somebody
And to travel alone
Is the bravest thing
That could ever be done
But if you have purpose
And that purpose is good
Then leave all your fellows
And do what you should
Whether it be fighting dragons
Rescuing a damsel in distress
If you happen to succeed
History will be the rest
