a plain white background,
add red and blue,
make it perfect
they'll all be watching you
so paint on your feigned grin
and widen your eyes
a cartwheel to
a spin
landing it not
and cachinnation arose.
no one saw the tears fall
from the clowns eyes
leaving a trail of blood
from his eye to rest upon
his honking nose
while..... jump......
jumping
around.
not a peep on his lips
no, not the slightess sound
but the honk of a horn
and the roar of the crowd
his tears fell
on barren shoulders
if only
just once more
he could hold her
but time for the show don't
smear your makeup
and don't let them down
cause nobody cares
nobody knows
nobody wants
the pain of a clown
as he spins
turns
and falls
to the ground
no one really noticed
the ironic death of a heartbroken clown.

that many would cachinnate while a clown died for their pleasure... tis but an expected irony? Are we not all clowns parading before a world of weary eyes? This made me think of Mr. Bungle... carve a smile on your face... sculpt yourself happy... is there any relief for all that we hide... a fun read here, suggestive of more than meets the eye
