Two days ago I was happy
Quite content with my life at the present
But suddenly comes a shocking blow
All in one day
The first half not so bad
Only causing me worry for the future
Not sure where I'll be in 10 years
The second the most painful
Pushing me even further away from my mom
I hold no secrets from her now
Though it's not the way I would have it
Two days ago I would of greeted you with a smile
Being glad to see you
But now you meet a grim face
Saying count your lucky stars and be thankful
The happiness doesn't last
As cruel as it may be
I had to learn it the hard way
And now; whenever things start going my way
I brace myself for another impact
Knowing it's impossible to be content and happy for too long
