“He wears a black jacket and gold watch.
His dishonesty has scarred hands.”

You’re such a gentleman.
So classy with your bright smile,
Slicked hair, and a perfect voice.

But I know your true intentions.

North Star on your arm to guide you
To impressionable hearts.

You stole her gaze from me
And I will have it back at any cost.

But maybe I jumped the gun,
Maybe I pulled the trigger too soon.
Maybe I should give you a second chance
[The one that was never afforded to me]
Let’s see if you do better at romance

So I hope you write well.
She only falls in love with poets.
