It must be buried under the heart,
the reasons I lost.
But I will not break my fingers
digging for something that I know
will grow and break through the surface.

Burning with new life,
and bursting with love.

My mouth has been spelling words
armed with just that very thing,
because it used to be easier to say ,
then it was to feel.
But like I've said before,
mimicking a broken record…

"You’re the winds of change."
And my pride and fear
has been swept away.

So I will sit with that patience you adore
and the endurance that impresses you.
