I walk ten paces behind him...
I walk behind, I see his next move from here
There is compromise and regret, I still follow

He cannot break free from this (I have seen the blueprint!)
Bound to me as one, the midnight leaves crunch under shoe prints

He knows me as i do He
A cooling and uncomfortable breeze
Those lost in passing never see
The scar upon his reddened cheek

Twenty paces to cover half
A two-faced man with Autumn's soul
With mustered strength the heart patrols
for another to share our beaten path

Four eyes like moons, pointed toward Earth
but blood as red as fiery hearth
Thoughts mingle with philosophy
The times when he will follow me...

Ten paces back, but he is seen
I disappear behind to see
None will bring such harm to me
As did the heat one Summer's Eve

Wow, very good. A chase in itsself. In some spots a bit surreal, and that's exactly what I like :)
