feeling
the ever changing world around me
pushing to control me
society's glove
suffocating my individuality

and you
of all you’s
thought understood me

i stand alone
in my rebellion
in my truth
to fight for
self-freedom

your words are like arrows
poisoned with contradiction
shooting through my back
piercing my heart

thinking you were one of me
thinking you were one with me

your changing

into exactly
what we said we'd never become

conforming into a puzzle piece
to better fit into
the game
let’s roll the dice
test our fate
or grasp our destiny

don't you see
i could never be
what they want me to be

i am only
what i am
