miles high
on windy paths
i glide along the gusts
of my feathered past

cabin pressure
decreasing
thoughts increasing
suffocating in between these
mechanical steel wings

i long to have you by my side
in this empty seat, where only the thought of you exists,
but
i learn these lessons
on my own

destiny has met my fate
in this moment
and i know what i must do

to better understand
what i feel
what i think
 i leave
expressions of myself in ink

so you’ll forever
never forget
i was here
