black tendrils of time
drifting before my vacant eyes
constantly running from my past
tap tapping rapping on my shoulder

feet following each other
ever fast faster farther
the souls tattered strips of leather
blackened to the dark grime of world

on the distance hoizon
glimmering shadows flicker
my safe haven in my eyeline
just beyond my minds reach

hope leaks from my shadow
scattered rays follow the trail
absorbed by yesteryears hatred
eternity is what I have already lived

Nothing makes a person feel as generic as reading a line they came up with in another persons poem...who also came up with it. Oh well. Nice one.
