daydreams of happiness
pervade my every waking thought
fantasies of success
overshadow my hearts failures
so much I want to be true
I can feel those strong arms around me
held safe from this evil world
invision that letter in the mailbox
acceptance from society
the worlds love of my written word
I go about my mundane tasks
efforts of everyday life
always there's a picture show
flashing behind my bright eyes
I'll never give up my hopes and wishes
in my imagination
I get a taste of their reality

I really liked the message in this piece. I think everyone here on DP can relate to this..who doesn't yearn for that dream to have just ONE anthology published. Great stuff.
