the first words to penetrate me so thouroughly since my husband
they've woken the woman in me
and I thank you
the next time you whisper "lie still" in the dark
know that tremors are traveling up my spine
for days and days to come
as you hold me oh so tight
looking into my eyes, your breath on mine
you are my addiction, you are my cure
leg pressing me into the bed a heavy comfort
your toes tickling mine
nothing ever felt so right
so here I lay
it's 3am and sleep evades me
I can't write
look down; wringing my hands
muscles so tight barely I breath
consider calling; it's 3am
your memories sustain me
dream of our reality
if ever I sleep
