I forgive you now for losing your way
I know you see clearly
the debt to society
you understand you have to pay
On the outside you appear menacing and tough
inside I'm sure it must be rough
in the movies "the hole" represents exaggerated theatrics
when you're troubled
it is your reality
completely out of touch
with us
your family
A constant stream of pictures and letters
in the good times you talk to us
each one proves you're getting better
every year that passes I store in my heart
fears of never being a family again
doing their best to rip me apart
I forgive you now for losing your way
holding you again in my arms little brother
that will be a happy day
