run run as fast as you can
if I can't catch you noboday can

let me wrap your blind fold tighter
you life becomes that much brighter

speeding around a circular track
one day it will lead you back

once happy to be patient and wait
my perfect world I can no longer create

every hour tears drip from my heart
was it really best that we part

between my lines are doubts of your vision
really I think it was the wrong decision

now here I lay awake at night
struggling whether to give up the fight

in you I feel emptiness and confusion
yet I wonder was it all an illusion

were you ever really there for me
or was I too blinded truly to see

all alone is what you've always known
your love for me never freely shown

our fates so hopelessly helplessly intertwined
yet our moon and stars have realigned

by then I'll have released my stranglehold
if we're playing poker then I fold

"if we're playing poker then I fold" Aha....fighting to hold someone who doesn't wish to be held, giving up in the end because that's all you can do. Excellent rhyme scheme. ~*Beth*~
