my pink shoes

No matter what I do
I wear my pink shoes
I know they're just a facade
for my empty soul
On my face is a cheerful smile
glued into place
by muscles and skin already dying
upon first glance
I appear well and content
but touch my life and you will know
my heart is black
it's all for show
