The tide comes rolling in bearing gifts from it's watery world.
Shells and kelp and sea litter are deposited on my sandy shores.
I feel the sea reaching for me, it's cold fingers wrapped around my heart.
We are one of salt and water, our souls meeting and joining.
The tide heads back out and my chest tightens with pain for my loss.
To be so far from my lover is unbearable.
I chase the waves into the seas arms.
It's love envelopes me slowly, first my feet, then knees up to my hips.
As the water creeps to my chest I know I will be with the sea forever.
Finally, I'm submersed fully and open my eyes.
Home, I take a deep watery breath as I float in my lovers arms.
