Can you carve out a space for me in your life?
Just some little hollow where I might reside,
burrowed in like a mouse.
I have never been one to reach for the stars.
My heart gravitates toward the small things.
It orbits around tiny hopes and moments.
A dusky, coral sunset swept across the sky.
The sweet serenade of birds at dawn.
The flash of your irises,
opening to the rays of the morning sun.
I yearn to move inside your heart.
In the hush of the days first moments,
I will love you.
Mouth to mouth,
hip to hip.
We will love each other,
with words and caresses.
Leaving trails of humid ardor on our skins.
Life is worth living when equal hearts come together.
Time stands still with every breath we breathe,
into each other.
My heart is open,
a canyon miles wide.
Open your arms and jump,
I promise to catch you when you fall.
