I can wish you dead a thousand different ways,
but still you haunt my palace of memories like a stubborn ghost.
Opening door upon door upon door,
revealing my heart, my blood, my soul.
Sneaking intrusive glances into the fleshy fantasies of my mind.
Are you worried that another has taken your place so soon?
A throne that you vacated when you grew weary of holding court?
A new lover, filling me like a heady wine.
Taking up residence between my thighs,
inside the crimson chambers of my heart.
You are no longer the king here...merely the fool, the jester.
I laugh at the worthless memory of you.
Pace these fading hallways while you can,
for I am searching the banks of my memory for your true name.
When I know it, you will be gone.
