I want to slow down the racing night.
Lasso the moon and tie it tight.
Stay the stars with all my might.
Then you would never leave me.

I want to prevent the burning sun,
from rising on its daily run.
Keep the rooster's song unsung.
Cleave you always to me.

So stop the alarms and turn off the lights.
Let's sink into this sultry night.
Love me until the morning's light.
I pray the day will leave you with me.

Nice flow, with a slight stumble on the last line, but it worked well. Excellent imagery!
