A smoking gun in her hand
Standing over the cadaver
She knew nothing of this man
Or this bloody dagger

What have I done?
She couldn’t recall, Did I kill this man?
All she knew was the smoking gun
Was firmly in her hand

She screamed for help, almost, not quite
Better to hold her tongue
She choked back tears with all her might
Had she ruined her life so young?

No she said to herself aloud
I’ll just walk away
Get rid of the gun and join the crowd
Tomorrow’s another day.

So she did what she said for she said what she meant
And moved on with her life.
Until the day she found a young boy bent
Over her bloody knife.

What have I done? Not another!
This couldn’t be happening to me
I don’t think we even knew each other.
How could this possibly be?

A garbage bag for the boy
But decided to keep the dagger
What a wonderful new toy
Said the body bagger

She went around back to take out her trash
And saw an old man walking by,
With his cane, he was slain with one bash
To him she said good bye

A rush of endorphins pumped through her veins
It was me all along.
Three men? I should be in chains
But that’s not where I belong.

Closing her eyes and whipping her mind
She fell to a meditive state
And when she woke up, what did she find
But a man impaled with a stake.
