Just one sip
takes me over the edge
and I'm sucked
in the downward
stagger and stumble
to stop the flow
like an octopus on land
I seek the sea

Just one tip/sy
of the bottle
and there's no telling -
you can't stop time
anymore than I can stop
the slur of scenery
It's like trying to hold
the ocean with a spoon

I am lost in my silent
C

O

R N E R

of hell, with nothing
but the swirl and defeat
of this bottle

I'm so happy I faved you! Wow this was hard hitting, in your face awesome poetry! I loved every line. It let me feel the anxiety throughout, along with your frustrations, and fears. Well done! Julia~
