You were so beautiful
In all your innocence
But all that soon faded
Along with your bare existence
Moments ago tears of joy
As we gazed upon the face
Of our baby boy
It soon turned bad as they took you away
All we were left to do was pray
Hours had passed with not a word
We held hands as tight as we could
The doctor came at long last
The grave look on his face
We thought you had passed
But all he said was to further wait
Just when we thought we could take no more
We heard people talking outside the door
This time there were the two
And they said we know what you are going through
What they said next was of no question
That good Lord above had blessed you
They said a few times they lost you
But you were strong and pulled through
Now you are the age of five
And we thank God you are alive
