What happens when home
no longer feels like home
Or when in the company of friends
you still feel alone
What do you call that
I want to know
Then maybe I can understand
because right now I don't

Its an unordinary way
its a feeling thats strange
Like something inside you
trying to escape
You try to explain it
you cannot deny it
You want to embrace it
but it is defiant

Its so very close
yet distant to me
Its always elusive
just beyond my reach
I can almost grasp it
its on the tip of my tongue
but my thoughts disappear
and my words become undone
