The morning was bright
I felt too much light
Birds were singing
Church bells ringing
Animals feeding
Birdsong filled my heart
I was almost a part
Of life’s lighter side

The moon was bright
I felt too much light
No birds singing
Death bells ringing
Animals feeding
Wolfcry filled my heart
I was almost a part
Of life’s darker side

Hmmm. I liked the irony you seem to capture so well. Welcome to Darkpoetry.
