Why do you so inspire?
This pale shadow of myself.
Into genteel life I’ve fallen.
Embedded into this life of banality.

I climb from this mandate.
You show yourself in riddles.
I can’t find you.
You fail me now.

Time takes all, go away.
This lamentation goes unheard.
Would you even care to care?
Crier of sadness and desolation, so lost.

I climb from this crevice.
You look down, offer nothing.
I won’t look up.
You aren’t there now.

Long lost, crash into reality.
Suicide of many dreams.
Can’t someone make it disappear?
My sins into you, my forever gift.
