The fire burns down inside
My heart is on a coaster ride
My pulse goes up as I scream
On the terror of a dream
Or is it real, I feel so cold
I feel the steel down in my soul
Death is so close, so close I feel
Oh dear God, this can’t be real
Shield me from the plunge of eternity
Is anyone even thinking of me
My muffled screams are never heard
Only by a fast passing bird
