As he said, a while back
We all sink into it
What is it, we all asked
Your inner self, he replied

He bled my ears, I cried
Have some more life
Was his caustic response
But the pain was bliss

What have you done to us
Was our last question
I have brought you home
As he left us in wonder

The heavy water of your life holds you down
You drown, down in the stream
This tragic comedy of all you know
Forces this strange dream

What we don’t know will hurt us
