As the pen moves so swiftly
I begin to realize how possessed I really am
Possessed with love and passion
I can’t stop what I’m doing
Everything flows out so fast
I try to filter my feelings
But the dam to my emotions simply busts and overruns
I’m in a car with the gas pedal to the floor
I don’t want to let go
I don’t want to slow down
I see the lights ahead of me
My destination I’m finally nearing
But it doesn’t seem to be getting closer
It just sits in the distance teasing, taunting
That’s when the pen stops
I’m suddenly there
So lost, in total bliss
I don’t move, I’m so shocked by the beauty
Finally I have reached my goal!
I have finally found the holy grail!
I found love fairly returned
Oh I shall relish in its beauty!
But why has the pen stopped moving?
The river has run dry, no more water flows
Why is this happening!
It was supposed to be perfect!
My heart rate calms,
The pen begins to scratch the paper
Slowly the words begin to form
After immense effort, the words are finally legible
They read in bold, clear, confident letters
I finally understand as my eyes pass the phrase
I close my eyes and return to the embrace
And say the words to myself
…THE END…
