I wrote this when I was 14. It has been 12 years since I've seen this poetry book..feels good to see inside the self I put away when I grew up.
The sunshine hits the morning dew
shining in its cobweb form
scavengers seeking, desperate for morning life
so not to wither away and rott to dull bone
The day passes over
the colors exposed
dreariness whisked away
Yet in shadows ancient of cold and gray
lost souls dread the coming of this day
Lurk about my voiceless pets
end this trecherous site
So the day drags on
and light is starved of shine
and the moon endures the suns vast space
Winds of sorrow begin to whine
Night life expoed to unhuman thoughts
A task grotesque in black
enclosed
The moon passes on, within a flight of foreign heat
and soon the souls can no longer creep
and enter their timeless shade of gray
Blackness is gone
the sun shines again
Tis another color in the morning today.
