Words of war berate my new found smile,
Twisting, hating, snaring all the wile
Weary nerves incessant with numbing shake
Downward spiral darkening all sound
Downward spiral deafening clear sight
Hollow tactless digressions spew forth
All the while loosing out on self worth
Sick of dancing this cacophony
Just to tiptoe around your omniscience
Stuck in one more day, playing role of in the way
Wishing that which brought me in to take me out
Done with drowning myself in self-doubt
Forgive me Lord but I can’t continue as your pawn
Grant me sweet silence in deaths darkness come the dawn.
