She forgot the fire
that coursed through her veins
on remembrance,
she felt alive again

decision set in her eyes
change set in her mind
this time
she won't get trapped
torn between windows
breaking every mirror

screams of yesterday
turned to silent shimmer
tears
once held back
now as joyous
as iris glimmer
