The irony of a sunny day
When planes crash
I'm sick of foreign policy
Anti-world peace
All profit
War perpetual

When politics is a muddy grave
I seek the ocean
Disillusion-fueled inspiration
Evolution ignition
For this mission of love

I look to my daughter
(Her smile
Making this man
Cry like a baby)
And hope that her generation
Will strike out harder
For a world based on humanity
And not domination

not to stop the flow of good will here, but I didn't think it was that great. try to use your own phrases instead of common ones like "cry like a baby" or "muddy grave" words that are commonly linked together in average writing or speak, it stops the flow of creativly thinking and makes it so you're just going with that you know. sorry if this upsets anyone, but I just want to be truthfull

yeah i think it's safe to say my generation wants the humanity, but we have no clue how to obtain what we desire… we create "emo" (recreate some ideas taken from punk philosophy, romanticism, transcendentalism, and so forth…) and we cry and we scream and we want the change oh-so-much... but our actions don’t actually instigate the change…

need to be optimistic about something. the world's full of cynicism..hell, I'm full of it. but you can't smash this with any ball of hate: there is no more hope in the world than that enclosed inside the cynicism-free mind of a small child...it's the only thing that ever gives me hope..

I'd tip my hat twice to you for this one. First line was wonderful... How ironic indeed... If only a little sunshine did in fact make us better people...
