I shouldn't hurt this much,
when the stars come blazing through my eyes,
and my skies fall... I ascend.

Having lunar stamped little holes over my tattered skin,
doesn't feel like being unclean anymore.
It feels like having a silk sheet wrapped upon my eyes,
taking care that I don't see,
[That I don't feel]

I wish I'd known of this beautiful red cloth,
when the pain started.
It only takes a while to settle,
the quick burn flowing,
and then.

...

Nothing.

I shouldn't suffer this much,
but looking at those little lunar holes,
rippling upon my tattered skin...

It feels... like being..

Alive.

Again.

Until I wake and there's nothing by steelpoints,
and dust,
and tiny lunar holes, greyed because of heaven.

But.

I want to ascend. [Again]

Like those times....

When you loved me.

Wow. What beautiful imagery. And the last lines took my breath away, I think it's lovely how it is, but I'm sure if you add more this would be beautiful as well. Wonderful write.

"Having lunar stamped little holes over my tattered skin" Some nice visual imagery & passion; love the structure: works espc. well considering the subject & title... there are (unseen)words w/N the empty spaces; the [moon]holes. Well done.
