beauty lingers upon
the words that flow
so easily from your
serpentinely forked tongue.
everything that you say
is, oh, so beautiful. but
it's all lies.
and yet i come back
to you to embrace
every word that you say.
i cling to your last
whisper, always hungry
for more.
i'm always trying to
get a taste of the
ravaged passion that
stains your tainted lips.
and i'm always only
receiving bittersweet
pain and sorrow.
it's beautiful how easily
you hurt me
and it's funny how i
always think you will change.
