we shared
grey glances
and blue kisses
under crumbling skies
as the hourglass
counted down our
last seconds together.
your fingers left
divinely inspired
bruises on my
sensitive shell
as you embraced me.
your words
told false promise
through swollen lips
as you choked out
your good-bye.
it has finally
come down
to this,
after everything.
