"I will love you for always"

Lies on top of lies

the pressure on my chest is excruciating

pushing down on my already broken heart

the fragile shards are not so fragile

when they`re slicing through my ribs

there are no shooting stars in my sky

only fallen ones like me

i keep making wishes on

those fiery orbs but they burn out

long before my prayers can reach them

I cant keep pretending i mean

more to you than a

midnight phone call

and rumpled sheets

your kiss leaves a bitter taste in my mouth

the taste of betrayal

your just another addiction

you just smell better than the smoke

i`ve been inhaling

as i tell you i love you

i get this urge to grab a bar of soap

and scrub my tounge

until my taste buds go numb

you made love a bad word

only uttered in secret

away from prying ears

its not that hard to fall for

someone when their foot snagged your leg

I went down hard

i placed my heart in your hand

you clenched your fist

and smiled

these tear stained papers

never meant anything to you

just my soul in paragraphs

lets quit playing make believe

I know you dont love me

but take my heart as a parting gift

and keep it with you

for always
