You told me pain is art
and then you hurt me
in a million beautiful ways
my tears became the paint that
splashed across your canvas
heartache between every brush stroke
my reality became a series
of brilliant colors
clashing violently as if
fighting for there places beside
one another
you captured my dreams in
a mason jar so that
even when i`m not around
you can disect my mind
painting as if your sanity hangs
in the empty space between my
lips and your easel
and everytime i speak of not
wanting you
you take out your sketchbook
and show me how my eyes
contradict my words
I stare at how hauntingly
beautiful you made me
knowing no one else could capture
the tilt of my lips
or the dejected position
my shoulders find
theirselves in
I realize i could never leave you
because you turned me into art
even if you had to break me to do it
