Writing makes me happier
than you could ever make me
it touches me in a place
you can never seem to reach
My Heart
it lays abandonned in my chest
aching from loneliness
until i pick up a pen
then it all goes away
as i pour it on paper
every emotion i cant tell you
because you just dont understand
the need to scribble your demons away
You try your damnest to forget past pain
while i constantly drag skeletons out of my closet
to dust them off
and remind myself of every scar i have
not the ones on my wrist
the ones you cant see
but you never noticed the ones on my
wrist either did you
have you ever looked closely enough to see
your angels broken halo
did you know i use to draw your
name in blood
to rid my mind of you
it never worked but that didnt stop
me from doing it
or crying at my failure everday
you see there`s a reason i dont let you
reach my heart because
poetry cant break it

"but you never noticed the ones on my wrist either did you" i think that really ruined the flow of the piece. it was more of an interruption. but i really loved the way you described how he always tries to forget his pain while you constantly relive it.

there's always this honesty to your works that appeals to me.

"...because poetry can't break it" I'm going to have to remember that line
