Goodbye says it all
in the space of a heartbeat
every broken promise is glued together again
and we fade into a memory
of the black and white variety
gray was always our common ground
a little blurred around the edges
slightly distorted
like a smudged window
we never really saw each other
no matter how hard we looked
and seeing you now without
my rose tinted glasses
made me realize you look better in the dark
when i can`t see the lies
dancing their way to the tip of your tounge
like suicidal balarinas
making theirselves beautiful
before they leap from the edge
and laying here listening
to your heart speak in some foriegn language
when all i ever wanted was for it to whisper my name
has tied my last nerve in knots
and made me fear for the life of my mascara
your having a war with yourself
and my heart was just a casualty
bloodied and broken
it screams for you
but from now on
I refuse to listen
