close your eyes
and look at me
Who am I?
I lost myself
so long ago
sold my soul
to you
my sweet love

screams echoing
hanging over the precipice
you hold my hand
how far is forever
so you can finally
let me go
without breaking a promise

that stupid promise
I made you say a million times
laying curve against curve
we always fit so well

"hold me and never let me go"
"If I fall will you catch me?"
"Promise?"

fingertip to fingertip
hanging over the abyss
let me slip
you can say it was an accident

I know you no longer want the responsibility
of all the burdens I lay at your feet
the moods swings
and self pity in massive doses

I`ve proved to be too much for you
so please let me go
and promise you wont catch me
