those little scriblings
...in the corners of your paper...

...they're your poems too...

and every forgotten one taste melancholia
as they become grimoires of discarded feelings

crappy and mushy it may seem
love poems forgotten cry

sick and twisted it may seem
suicide poems slit their wrists for grief

grey and lonely it may seem
blues poems die from too much coffee and cigs

wierd and deranged it may seem
surreal poems lose their colors and die

whatever your poem might be
a write when you were 7 yrs old
a write for your stories untold
always remember to treasure it and keep it
in the little secret spaces of your heart

who knows...after you're dead

through them you will live

amen Tetch, Ihave enough poems I don't like...I keep them in a drawer for later day editing..who knows...it's a weird business of writing, fickle and haphazard...but shaping words sounds and ideas..

This was incredible Tetch, only you could write this and make it magic. I loved it and I understand every word of it. By far this was my most favorite, because its expressed a lot. And spoke louder then words ~Gothic

sorry about the rant there, but this was truly an inspiring work of art, as are all of yours and many others I read. I just wish I had a fitting comment for more of them

This was good, tetch. What you write in this poem is a lesson learned thru personal experience for both me and my mother. Yet, when it came to destroying my poems, I only wish I had another copy that someone made, tucked safely out of my reach.

On Thursday November 2nd, 2006, hex (113) writes:
Those poems I destroyed, they needed to be destroyed for personal reasons, not because they were bad, but because their destruction was a release of the pain I transcribed from my soul into them.

On Thursday November 2nd, 2006, hex (113) writes:
If any other poet here or elsewhere wants to destroy their poems, I suggest you have someone you trust read them first.
