for Amanda...

the smell of her perfume,
left on my pillow draws my
thoughts into a realm of
uncertanty.

feelings that i have never
expirenced, a deer stuck in the
headlights. waiting for the
impact

falling hard, way to fast. waiting
to hit the ground. my soul
shattering like a broken mirror.

what will save me before i
smash into cold hard concrete.
her voice pulls me back,
to reality. lost in the dream
her voice on the other end of
the line.  she tells me to hold on,
don’t disappear.

I liked this, particularly the way it ended with 'Amanda' on the end of a phone line calling you out of your dream-state. Nice one.

Well written. You word things the way they are. Concrete is indeed cold and hard.
