Our stars almost aligned,
I almost saw my future,
Flickering briefly in your,
Brooding brown eyes.

I remember how we twisted,
Words into poetic sex scenes,
You were so sad when morning,
Broke the moment’s spell.

We lingered for a long time,
Toying with a natural intimacy,
A shimmering possibility,
That was someone I wasn’t brave enough to be.

I think I could have loved you,
And maybe we could have been happy,
I think I should have loved you,
If only to keep you.

I don’t know what happens,
Beyound soft touch and bodies that,
Mold together but never,
Allow themselves to become one.

Right on the border of,
Friendship and forbidden lust,
We held hands and,
Kept walking the same knife edge.
