Wire to cheek I drove the drill
To release your confessions escape, tongue in cheek
Revisiting the Hells you put me through
In your face still seethes the truth
And in your eyes recorded
Still-framed slow divarication
When I am blind to what has become

Sever this acumen
I wish to sleep in shades of grey
And bathe in shards of silence
Burning every emotion which courses
No longer

(Now will you listen as I smother your face in the ground?)

Written in my letter crying goodbye
Quickly discarded to the bottom of the pile
You smell of stale cigarettes and three year old scotch
Reeking of back alleys hiding lies
Will you confront your redeemer?
I am nameless and reborn

Cutting will not ease this pressure
I cannot force apologies through this wall between
That when I break through your shelter
I will burn your wings and name you fallen
When you face him will it be any different?

Illuminated I stand in streetlamp circle
Screaming teardrops that sear like firestorms
Inside the wreckage that surrounds us
The blaring horns accentuate my pain
I hope through this you can hear
Every syllable of my nightmare

Fed into vacant machines and shrouded beneath
This city I once slept in lullaby
Until I was disarmed to watch me bleed forgiveness
One can only forgive so much
Through your open curtains I watched you undress him
Not only with your eyes

Scribbling our story on the asphalt
With the calcified glory of our remains
Will the killing veil the reason?

(You're listening to reason now)

Goodbye beautiful
Don't bother to call
The Hell which you came from
Is a long way to fall
I will meet you there when the ending drops
Pulling the trigger makes the pain all stop.

pretty damn astounding, one of the most powerful things I've read by you, although it's difficult to distinguish from the pack for excellence is nevr far away in your writing...damn fine coercions, love this.

this has a very different feel to it. yet it stillis Mathesix~esque, truly well.crafted and worded powerfully stated from a place wherein anguish and animus.emotives seemingly are in abundance(?). i absolutly love the verse of 'Illuminated I stand...'

"Mathesix~esque" ~grins~ quite a compliment there to be given a style. =) I shall return with my own comments after some rest. ~pf
