Tonight's the heaven of which they disdain
For the coupling left in unfinished state
Breaking the heart which left in such pain
Tempting love as we did tempt fate
My desire, the opening through which you drive
A thousand needles in the form of sharp word
Accept the death for which I now strive
To release the anguish upon my sword
My dreams are scattered into the smoke
And scavenged from the floor with rusted hope
The misplaced trust your conscience choke
That hanged my spirit with love's steel rope
For you I forswore the world and life
So end it now, my pain and strife

Wow... a real sonnet. I am impressed. Doubly so that you can conform such words to a set form and still have an amazing composition. *applauds*

wow... this is classic. oh, wait! is that a troche in your iambic meter? (haha j/k). Such form is very much work, nice job combining structure and form.

holy fucker, I don't think they had this in mind when they 'coined' Shakespearean sonnets after the Elizabethans...21st century sonnet given classical form and contemporary subject matter...outstanding.

um... I think he has creatively broken free of both the Shakespearean and Spenserian English schemes... his final quatrain is evidently novel and for that reason refreshingly unexpected.. nice!
