“There are only two feelings,
Two languages, Two results:
Love and Fear”
-Reverend Alan Jones

I am alone again
I sit waiting, hoping someone out there loves me
I sit by her side again
Yet I am alone. How is this love?
She smiles brightly, but her fear shine brighter
Fear? Of what?
The same thing I fear, that this isn’t love.

I am with the one I love
Yet she is nowhere to be seen
A dark veil shrouds her
She looks at me but I cannot look back
This is not love
We walk together, hand in hand
Yet I walk alone

I am alone again
She is gone and I feel so much lighter
I sit by myself
And think about the times we shared
Why?
We were never in love, it was always lust
But why do I feel like this?

I am alone again
And yet she is with me for the first time
There was no fear
Love is what connected us when we were apart
And separated us when we wee together
There was no fear
It was love all along

We are together again
And I see her clearly for the first time
There was no veil
She shone brighter than the sun
This is love
No matter what society or fear may tell us
This is love
